Day 1
We depart for Alexandria Bay, in the Thousand Islands with meal and rest stops en route. Upon arrival we will check into the Riveredge Resort (315-482-9917). This waterfront hotel offers indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, outdoor pool (weather permitting), game room, in-room coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. After we check in, we will board the shuttle boat to Heart Island. You can spend as much time as you wish on the five-acre island enjoying the 129-room Boldt Castle built by George Boldt for his wife Louise. Admission is included for the out buildings and lovely landscaped grounds too. There are restrooms, snack bar and gift shops on the Island. There is a short film about the Castle on the 2nd floor as well as knowledgeable guides located throughout the Castle, Powerhouse, and Playhouse to answer any questions. Boats leave every half hour to return to the hotel. Dinner is included at the hotel this evening. (A meal selection is required for this dinner, the options are: Sirloin steak topped with tomato hollandaise sauce, Tilapia Parmesan - lightly breaded fish with bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, tomatoes and basil. Chicken Florentine - stuffed chicken breast with a spinach, sundried tomato and cream cheese blend. If you have not already made a meal selection please do so one month prior to departure). After dinner the evening is yours to do as you please. You can relax at the hotel or stroll downtown Alexandria Bay with its many shops, boutiques, art galleries and spectacular shore line scenery.

Day 2
A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning, before departing for Quebec. A lunch stop will be made en route to Quebec City. Upon arrival we will check into the Hotel Palace Royal (418-658-5624). This beautiful hotel is located in downtown Quebec and features an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, in-room microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. The evening is free to explore the city of Quebec or relax at the hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 3
A full breakfast is included this morning at the hotel before departing for a tour of Sainte Anne De Beaupre and Quebec City. This tour includes viewing the Plains of Abraham, and the Citadelle, and the narrowest street in North America. The Plains of Abraham is the site of a confrontation between the French and British Empires (1759-1760) that is now a park that was created in 1908. The Citadelle is a military installation and official residence located atop Cap Diamant.We will stop at Montmorency Falls which is 1.5 times higher than Niagara Falls and was the first to be used for hydro-electricity in Quebec. Next, we visit Albert Giles Copper Art Boutique and Museum. Marvel at the breathtaking decorative art pieces of embossed or enameled copper. Albert Giles is the creator of the doors to the Bascilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre. Marie’s Bread Oven is a delight for the senses. Now a fourth generation French-Canadian business, it is located in a stone dwelling dating back to 1652. You can sample the fresh baked bread with maple butter. Next, arrive at the Woodcarvers Museum where one of the workshop animators introduce you to the Quebec legends depicted in a 22-foot long carved memorial. Then, we are off to Sainte Anne De Beaupre Shrine. A major Catholic Shrine and place of healing that attracts more than a million pilgrims per year. The first chapel was built on this site by early settlers in 1658 to house a miraculous statue of St. Anne, mother of Mary. Lunch is on your own today. Your local guide will lead you on a narrated driving tour of Quebec City. After returning to the hotel to freshen up, you will have dinner in the lovely hotel dining room. (A meal selection is required with the options for the main course being chicken, salmon or pasta. If you have not already made a meal selection, please do so one month prior to departure). The remainder of the evening is yours to do as you please.

Day 4
Breakfast this morning is included at the hotel before we check out and depart for Montreal. A lunch stop will be made en route. Upon arrival we will check into the Delta- Centre Ville (514-879-1370). Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, this hotel offers a heated indoor pool, sauna, and seasonal outdoor deck, game room, in-room coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. Following check in, enjoy a guided tour of Montreal including Ville- Marie where the underground city began; drive by the Olympic Stadium (time permitting), where the 1976 Olympic Games were held; the beautiful Mount Royal Mountains; St. Joseph’s Shrine and admission to Notre Dame Cathedral. The Notre Dame Cathedral is famous for many reasons, but its beauty is at the top of the list. After our tour we will return to the hotel. Dinner this evening will be on your own. The remainder of the evening is yours to explore the city. The hotel is within walking distance to many major landmarks such as the Bell Centre, Dorchester Square and St. Catharine Street, as well as many boutiques, restaurants and vibrant nightlife.

Day 5
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning before we check out and depart for home with meal and rest stops en route.
